1.

Go to several parent meetings.

All you have to do is show up. No fee, no reservations, no appointment, just go. You will be welcomed by other parents and find that there are other parents who have similar experiences, and can give you hope and support.  Here is our meeting schedule

Go, even if your child doesn’t go yet.

You will get a “newcomer packet” at the meeting, full of recommended readings (books are available at the meetings) and other helpful information. Please read this packet!

2.

Watch our introductory video.

3.

Once you’ve done those things, make an appointment for an orientation meeting with your area’s counselor.

You will have lots of questions, and here’s a great place to get answers. If you have followed the steps above, your hour with your counselor will be very efficient. Otherwise, you and the counselor will have to use meeting time to go over much of the program information that you will get in the parent meetings and newcomer packet. There is a fee for this meeting, so we want your time to be spent efficiently! Find your counselor here!
